It is a common known truth that “a happy child at school will learn”. As a school we fully endorse this through a number of initiatives. At Belfast School we have a schoolwide behaviour management and values programme that is applied consistently and fairly by all involved.
Part of the Deputy Principal’s role is designated as “Pastoral Care”, which involves following up any concerns and behaviours that occur.
To support this we work hard to provide a safe environment, both inside the classroom and in the playground. There are three teachers on duty every break, as well as four student Peer mediators, this ensures as much as possible safety and supervision for the children.
As a school we make every effort to meet students’ identified learning needs, including where necessary a range of special programmes and seeking help from other agencies.
If as a parent you have any concerns please come and see your classroom teacher or the Deputy Principal. We value your contributions and will do our best to help you and your child.
